Sprucing up the guest bathroom

I am not the most creative person, okay who I am kidding, I'm not creative at all.   However, thanks to pinterest I have found some really cute ideas for our home and today I tired a couple of them out.  I'm not a big fan of clutter and like to keep things clean and simple, especially in the bath
rooms. So I took a couple of real simple ideas and was able to add a little spunk to our guest bathroom.  I even got the hubby involved, putting his new power drill to use!
I love clear containers.  For my wash cloths I took a large glass jar, that can be purchased at Wal-mart or Target, and individually rolled up the towels and place them into this jar.  REALLY SIMPLE, but adds a little uniqueness and cuteness to the bathroom.

My second little project was to make a soap dispenser out of a mason jar.  Another clear container concept, that I thought would be cute and a little different.  This is where my husband got to use his new power drill.
Another really simple project in that you drill a hole in the lid, large enough for the pump to slide through.  Once you have the hole drilled slide your pump through the hole (I used the pump from a Soft Soap bottle), add a little glue to hold the pump in place, and your done.  Add the soap to the jar, screw on the lid and you have a new soap dispenser.  I have seen the jars painted, which was also cute.  I think I will add a second jar filled with hand soap!

Again, the projects were super simple and took maybe 30 minutes at the most to throw together, they added a simple touch to my very boring guest bath and gave me a little sense of accomplishment when I was done.  Taking baby steps in  finding my creative side.

Alas, Mexi Rolls

Could it get any better than this? Maybe, but not likely.  What are the odds that this small town in Wyoming, that we now proudly call home, has a Taco John's ?  Now, not everyone here has the same respect for the Potato Ole's, cheese dip, Pizza burger and Mexi Rolls that I do, mainly people that are from Texas and just don't understand the concept of Mexican fast food. However, all my Murray, Kentucky peeps who grew up with that six pack and a pound know where I'm coming from when I say Taco John's is on my "have to eat at list" every year when we travel back home.  And though we may not admit it, we all secretly get a little rage of jealousy when we read on Facebook about someone's trip home and they have 'checked in' at Taco John's. Or what about when somebody is on a road trip and they post that they have stumbled upon a Taco John's and they are now enjoying something out of that brown paper bag and then us folks that live in Taco...
