Self-Portraits

I have so many pictures on my iPhone I am out of iCloud storage to back them up. I am terrible about taking the time to upload them to my computer and every now and then I have to go through them, delete the duplicates and blurry ones to gain some space. However, the surprise self portraits I find in my photos of my precious little Jaxon are the ones I will cherish forever. Not only does he love to play angry birds and watch Netflix, but he obviously loves to play photographer and take pictures for what is now mommy's self-portrait collection.

Left Behind...

I just finished looking through some pictures in USA today's  Media Gallery  entitled Items Left Behind on Southwest Airlines.   It is hard to believe all this stuff that is never claimed and I am pretty impressed with how Southwest keeps all this stuff organized.  Bottom line: If you leave anything on a flight, especially Southwest, CALL THEM!  More than likely they have it and will be able to locate it for you rather quickly! For more details and more interesting pictures of things left behind, go  here! Here are a few of the pictures they featured.  All photos are courtesy of  USA today . Laptop Computers...you better believe I would be looking for mine! e-readers...Look at all those! Strollers.  Really?  Did they lose their baby too? A coffee press with a cigar in it, a bird feeder and an award...ok, maybe some things are better left at Southwest!

Cards of Christmas Past

I hang on to all my past Christmas cards that we receive every year from our dear family and friends. Normally I display them in a Christmas basket and always enjoy looking back at them every year, comparing cards and seeing how much everyone's kiddos have grown, including my own. This year I decided to take all of the picture cards and groups them together, binding them with ring binders. A new fun way to display my picture cards so that both my family and our guests can enjoy them.

the dump station picture

this morning i was scrolling through our photos from summer, thinking back to our vacation in Hawaii and how beautiful The Big Island is.  remembering what a fun time the boys had at vacation bible school and all the little day trips we took with the windows rolled down and kids screaming in the backseats. the innocence and laughter of the boys just running through the yard sprinklers and playing in the back yard on the slip-'n-slide. a lot of memories have been made this summer and i love how pictures can, for a split moment, take you back in time and bring a smile to your face. then of course, i found this picture.  the dump station picture. why my husband feels the need to capture the memory of the dump station at a t exas campground is beyond me.  but here it is, and here it will stay. m en! can someone please explain?
