MOCHA MORNINGS

...wednesday november 13, 2019 I'm not sure why, when I was up at 4:30 a.m. walking my dogs in the 30 degree Texas weather, I had the idea that, "today, I am going to update my blog!"  But I did. And so I did.  Update the blog, that is. So welcome to 2019 Mocha Mornings!  Let's see what kind of craziness we can get into.

Finally, Starbucks K-cups.  My mornings just got that much more amazing!!  And just in time for Christmas... Christmas Wish List: Starbucks K-cups Cute bag for my laptop Gift card to Maurices A new car....(hey, it never hurts to throw a big item on there!) ;) Sure do hope the hubby reads my blog!

Really? It is 8:40 a.m. and I am ready to throw in the towel for the day. Getting up at 5:30 a.m. stinks, but the Freshman has to be at Zero Hour by 6:00 a.m. to lift weights and this gives me enough time to make a cup of coffee and get his lunch made. As I'm spreading the peanut butter on his sandwich I noticed the Keurig is done, so I grab the creamer, get my cup from the brewer and there are only a couple of tablespoons of coffee in my cup. WHAT THE CRAP!?!? I fool with it for a few minutes, could tell there was water in the dang thing, try and dump it out, it pours out on my arm, scolding my wrist which is now red and blistered! I finish making the kid's lunch, text him and tell him to 'GET UP' and proceed to make coffee in the regular coffee maker. Gross. It was way to strong and had coffee grinds in it! last night the hub and I made a deal, we would get up at 5:30 before he left for work and go for a walk. I roll over this morning at 6:23 a.m., as he is putting his shoes on, and realize that I had overslept. So, as tempting as it was just to roll over and go back to sleep, I drug my butt out of bed, gave the boy a kiss, put on my Nike's and went for a walk, by myself.   As I was walking I snapped this shot with my phone.  I live in a historic carriage district in town and there are several houses that have these lights in their yards. I think they are so cool. Our next door neighbor even has one.  And even though we admire it during the daytime we curse it at night when the bright light is shinning through our upstairs bedroom window. i love coffee . and i love early tuesday mornings when everyone else is asleep and for about 30 minutes there is peace.....and quiet! i was bad this morning and didn't get up in time to go work out with the hubs, but still decided to get up and shower and enjoy this morning before this calm serenity turns into a zoo with caged animals. o n another note: as i sit, sipping my coffee with butter pecan creamer, i open my lap top, scan through the news, roll my eyes as i read the headlines of jake the bachelor and who he picked, log in to my blog and what i see, i just can't believe! i have a new follower! now, to many, well...to most, this might not be a big deal, but to me it just made my day. so, thank you dear new follower for adding some additional joy to this peaceful tuesday morning!
